Hello, my 1988 Toyota Carolla has 240,000 miles and still runs great, but the horn stopped working. I had it fixed once, and it worked for a while, then it was on and off, then stopped working altogether. I want to take the part of the steering wheel apart that you push to make the horn work to see if something is not making contact but do not know how to get it apart. Also someone suggested checking the fuse, but the fuse box onder the dash has no horn fuse, is there one somewhere else? Thank you very much for your help.

Could be a bad ground to the horn itself. If you push the horn button and hear a "click" coming from the fuse box in the engine compartment, then the horn is not grounded properly, or the horn itself is bad.
If you hear no click, it could be the horn button or the relay in the fuse box.
