i have had this car for about 4 years now. got it from my grandfather who bought it new of a lot has had the motor replaced many years back . few days ago it started to when u would hit the gas it would want to quit . go to an idling speed on the motor and quite and jerk the car as though it was starving for gas so i checked the main fuel lines hoses all seemed fine the charcoal canister still works and even put on a new mechanical fuel pump fuel filter spark plugs and cords .also found that there was a compression pump thing on the bottom of the power distributor were the plug cords pug into . i took it off and blew on it and that did seem to help it idles now but i still can't get it to get up and go like it did wants to over heat and die so i punched a hole in the converter help stop the over heating and the quitting but still wont run properly and when u hit the gas it boughs down and wast to quite. am desperate there aren't to many people who will help they say its to complicated since its car berated . what do you think?
