If you are saying the head was removed and repaired and now the engine knocks, check that oil is full and then check oil pressure with mechanical gauge.
If oil pressure is low, then either oil pump or a clogged galley in head/block.
If knock increases with engine RPM it is most likely a rod/main bearing.
