Shakes or Wobbles problem
1982 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

hi..

i just recently got new struts and shocks on my 1982 toyota corolla/ tercel. but when i drive the car over 5omph i still have the car shake real bad from the front wheels. i looked underneath and checked it out.. i need new strut coils/springs and the steering rods are original from the dealership. i know that needs to be replaced like everything does after so many years.
but my question is.. what is causing my car to shake so bad in the front when driving 5omph+ is it the suspension or the rods? if i keep driving it, i know i will have to replace the front axle.. so im not driving unless its an emergency.
so i hope you can help me out.

thank you,
much appreciated

Hi there,

If this is a shake in the steering wheel, you should be looking at a deformed tyre, rim problem or steering tie rod ends and have the steering box adjusted, start here.
