toyota camry idle motor stalls in call weather

I have a 1996 Toyota Camry with 145,000 miles and my engine size is 2.2. Every morning when I go to start my car it doesn't even start it just stalls out. This only happens in cold weather in the mornings or when my car is sitting for a long periods of time. The only way I can get it started is if i slam on the gas while my car is still is park. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks!!
