key fob unit does not unlock door

The battery in the alarm/door lock is good in a 96 toy/camry, 4 cylinder with 100,000 miles. It worked fine til one day...then no more. Dealer gets $100 to diagnose. Its not an obvious fuse but some of them you cannot tell by looking. Got a clue?
