here is my problem and I need help trying to repair it. The car runs fine but when I drive it for like 15 minutes it start being wierd. The rpm's is getting higher then it should be. When I have it on drive the rpm's is high, and useally when you stop you shift to nautral the rmp's went really high. So I was wondering what is wrong with it. And then one day when I was driving it, I think the engine got too hot and I was coming to a red light and it was hard for me to stop. I try to push really hard on the brakes. And then I pull over and look under the hood. I notice that my fan isnt working. And I accidently touch my radiator and it was really hot. To summarize it all, my rpm's was high and I dont think my fan is working. So can someone tell me what I need to do.

thanks alot.

Try cleaning the idle air control valve and the throttle body plate-also check for a stretch accelerator cable or needing adjustment.

Check the coolant temperature and throttle position sensors

Might also want to look at the vacuum line from the engine to the brake booster
