I am trying to change the fuse in my 2004 camry. It is the Alt. fuse, one of the larger ones, I tried to pull it out and realized that the longer metals parts that go into the box are screwed in. How do I get the middle of the fuse box out. I already tried to unscrew the main screws and it still wont seperate from the bottom, so I am unable to unscre the metal legs of the old fuse.

Well, this is kind of tricky..
See on the sides? there is a couple of "locking tabs" you should make them release the fuse mounting plastic..once released pull the wires (with care) until you can fit an a small socket with the ratch (1/4 square) the smalllest you got On the side screw..i don`t remember the size of the socket.. 10 mm ? not sure.. i

Well ...ts hard but you can do it!

that its a really bad design!
you are going to drop one screw (I drop both of them the last time i did it LOL)
