i have a 2000 Toyota Camry 4cylinder / 4door. mileage is 103000 miles.
my brakes have a grinding sort of noise from the rear when i apply the brakes. in Feb2006 we had the front brakes re-done (pads, shoes, resurface rotors and so forth). the rear was just cleaned at the time. last week i took it in as the brake light was going on and there was a piercing sound when we applied the brakes, then the grinding or scraping sort of noise started up....they cleaned the front and and the rear, they also flushed the brake fluid, we have since spent over 800.00 for all this. the grinding sort of sound is still there when the brakes are applied. what and where is it coming from?

That kind of noise, if it is coming from the brakes, can only be metal to metal sound like a worn pad or shoes grinding on the drum or rotor. Good luck
