This will depend on how much you added, worst case is the engine will not run or it will be very smoky and rough and no power, you may only notice a bit of smoke and a lack of power , change the filter and keep filling the car with petrol to dilute the diesel, or at worst have the tank removed and drained, you will not suffer any long term damage.
