My 2005 Camry runs well, but recently the driver side door automatic door unlock failed.
I can lock with remote entry, driver/passenger side door lock switch, or pushing gear to "drive" to lock the driver side door. But none of these can unlock the driver side door. I have to manually unlock the driver-side door from inside, or unlock it with a key from outside. The auto unlock for the other three doors work well.
Also sometimes if I am really lucky, the auto unlock can work for once or twice, but I wasn't able to find the trick for it to work. It just randomly works, and fails most of the time.
Worth to mention is that the car was recently rear-ended with very small surface damage on the rear bumper, and this sympotom began to develop one day after the accident. Can that be the aftermath of the accident?
Many thanks for your hints!
