Hi there,

There is no set mileage to replace struts, they are normally replaced as a set when one becomes soft spongy or is leaking, most tyre wear problems are due to lack of rotation & alignment problems, the $900 price to do the struts is well over priced, best get a second opinion on the condition of the struts and the Price to do the job.
