Noises problem
2003 Toyota Camry 6 cyl Automatic 84,000 miles

Hello,

I hope you can answer my question. About 1 month ago, I would hear a high pitch sqeeky noise WHILE driving. It comes and goes. However, for the last week, it's been constant. Here's the weird part. The noise stops when I apply the brake. Hence, I don't think it's my break pads then, correct?

I'm not sure what type of wheel drive I have on my car. Do you need to know this in order to answer my question.

Thank you so much for your time and help with this matter. I'm going out of town on a trip next Thursday and a little hesitant because of the noise.

I have this same scenario... I can also add that it happens only after hitting a bump, while turning steering wheel slightly left. Accelerating will make noise louder and quicker. Slightly touching brake pedal will stop noise, taking foot off break pedal will allow noise to start again. mine is a 4cyl LE with 74k miles

Might want to start by having the serpentine belt tensioner checked
