About three months ago my battery light started flickering on sporadically. This continued until the light was on almost all the time. Replaced the battery but this wasnt the problem the alternator is fairly new and was checked and it working properly. Is there a control module that regulates the alternator and turns it on and off at certain times how can I check this

Hi there,

The voltage regulator is integral to the alternator, if the alternator is charging at above battery voltage and below about 14, 5 V it is ok. I would be doing a current draw test to locate any item that may be powered up causing your problem.
