I know automobiles are getting more complicated and there are specialists to do everything. Considering my financial situation during this rough economic period, is it possible for me to do a tuneup for my Camry on my own? I'm talking about replacing spark plugs, sparkplug wires, air filter change etc. There is a cover on the engine protecting the plugs. Can I remove that safely and do the tuneup without a mechanic?

HI there,

You can do the basic tune up your self, just take care and don't mix up the leads, may be it would be a good idea to invest in a work shop manual this will give you step by step instructions wit pic, it will pay for its self with the first job you do.
