I have a 2002 Camry, mileage 88,900. As of last week I can no longer go in reverse. It now pulls when I drive, however, putting it in second helps. I didn't expect a problem like this so soon with a brand new car. I was told I need to have the transmission rebuilt. Is there another way around this? Have others had similar problems with this year and model?

Hello !

you`re right! too new to have problems!

Did you check the fluid level? when was the last tranny service?

I would recommend to add a tranny restorer additive (like lucas transmission oil) and "see" how works after that..
If slipping that should help and that way you have to prepare to expend some money on the repair.. if not could be something else like a faulty sensor or relay!

Good Luck and let us Know!
