Hello and thank you for making this service available.

The dealeer recommends that I change the timing belt and the spark plugs due to the age of the car.

The car is in mint condition, and per the mileage has not been used extensively. It was owned by my father until recently and is now mine. I intend to use it regularly, driving about 15,000 miles a year.

Thank you

Hi lduplant2000,

The recommended timing belt replacement schedule is 90,000 miles or 72 months whichever comes first.

Due to age of vehicle, it is recommended that the belt be changed. If you wish to continue using it without replacing the belt, you must at least get it visually inspected to confirm the condition of the belt. If signs of cracking has appeared, DO NOT drag longer.

When the timing belt gives way, it could be a very expensive repair depending on the situation.
