My 2001 camry has a dashboard light on indicating there is a light out, but there are NO lights out (we checked every one). Also the reverse indicator lights up when I turn the headlights are on even if I'm not in reverse.

Recheck all your bulbs again. With someone on the driver seat, turn the car. Start with your turn signals, left first then right.

1. Turn on the lights. If you have daytime running light, physically twist the switch to headlights on, move the gear shifter from park to neutral, apply parking brake, and step off the brake pedal. By now, you should see 4 taillights (2 left and 2 right), and 2 license plate lights.

2. Have your assistant driver apply the brake. You should see 4 brake lights (same as the taillights, except they are brighter) and 1 high mount brake light in the rear window.

3. Have your assistant shift to reverse (with brake on obviously for safety reason), you should see all in #2, plus 2 clear reverse light (1 left and 1 right).

Get back with us with your finding.
