My 2001 camry this morning won't start. I turn the key and all the dashboard warning lights come on and a very fast 'clicking' noise is heard from the engine but its not turning over I have asked other what they think and they all believe it might be the battery. A fast response would be greatly appreciated.

I have owned two Toyota's in my lifetime and this problem seems all too familiar. I think it may be your starter. Usually when you hear a loud "clicking" sound and your car won't start, I'd say 8 times out of 10 its your starter. It will cost more to get a new one, but depending on the condition of the starter, it will cost less to get it repaired. Mind you, the life of the reconstructed starter may not be as long as a newly installed one. I hope this is your problem. It's not that minor, but its better than having engine problems.

Check for a good connection on battery cables, check for tight connectors if that didn`t solve the problem you have to check your starter..
