Last night I went to start my car and the key would not go all the way into the ignition. I wiggled the steering wheel back and forth and I put wd-40 into the lock. I still can only get the key half way into the ignition. Is there anything I can do? Also, if I can't repair it, do I call a garage or a locksmith? Lastly, can a car be towed if the shift remains in park?

Most cars especially with an anti-theft system installed by the factory, will require a scan tool capable of two way communication, or you cannot reprogram PCM and theft module for the new key. Car can be towed, leave that to the truck driver. So no matter who you call ask if they can reprogram!
