I hear this growling noise, at all speeds, if I push down on gas it goes away but then will come back, if no gas being pushed it isn't there. Not sure at this point, I have checked brakes, tires, wheel bearings. Now I'm just confused.

Hi PattiJA,

You are confused and you are making me confused as well.

1. Accelerating makes the noise go away?
2. No acceleration no noise ?

When is noise present?

If it is just idle there is no noise (howling), but If I'm traveling with my foot on the gas it makes the noise. If I let up or push little more the noise goes away for short while. Most of the time it only happens when I'm pushing on the gas.

Hi PattiJA,

Is noise present when revving engine with vehicle stationary?

Any difference in noise level or pitch when AC is used and not used?

I would check the timing belt adjustment.
