I have a 99 Toyota Camry. It had a mouse nest under the air filter with some sort of foam rubber that they were trying to stay warm with. When I drive with the heater on I get a taste on my lips and a small odor. Are these systems connected, if not what could be causing this? Where does the air for the cabin come from? Please Help! Thank you, Jackie

The air is coming from the front of the engine (upper vents in front of the windshield) probably the odor its that strong that its displaced to the vents.
replace the cabin filter and spray some deodorant on it, that should help.

good Luck!
