Engine Performance problem
1998 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have been charged $100 for replacement of 4 spark plugs and been told that, I do not require change the same for 80,000 Kilometres. Is it true and why is it so expensive?

1st off, you stated they replaced them at 80,000 kilometres???? stock plugs are rated at around 90,000 miles.... however they should be replaced at around 75,000-80,000 miles.... you never wait to last minute.... its like driving with a fuel light on.... are you gonna wait till you run out of gas, or fill up before you run out? in my opinion you did the right thing.
