Engine Mechanical problem
1998 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
Engine does not start. It cranks over, has good spark, and good compression. When orignally checking for fuel (unhooked the gas line at the fuel filter)(fuel filter is in the engine compartment) and cranked the engine there was fuel coming out but it appeared to not have a whole lot of pressure. I did replace the fuel pump but not the pressure regualtor. I am planning on changing the fuel filter but did not have my flare nut wrench with me to do it. Still no start. I checked for power at the fuel injectors with the key on there is power. The day before the car would not start the engine stumbled bewtween 1500 and 2000 rpm almost felt like the engine was starving for gas. Still appears to be a fuel related issue. Should I check the TPS for resistance?Should I replace the fuel regualtor? How would I test it Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.
