The power of the car is not as good as it was new. I suspect the time is wrong, but the car seems cannot be adjusted for timing. The gas mileage is also getting worse. It used to be 25M/gallon, now is 20M/gallon.

If the engine compression is good all around wet or dry, lets give it a major tune-up and see what happens-lacking power can be anything involving major subcomponents of the vehicle

Thanks a lot for your answers! What does the major tune-up include? I have replaced the spark plugs with brand new ones of the same part number at 100k miles. The car is much quiet now after replacing the spark plugs, but the power and mileage are not improved. What else can be done for the tune-up?

You might want to change the plugwires, cap and rotor, clean the air filter and replace the fuel filter and run an injection cleaner
