Hi:
I have a check engine light on with a gas smell? Is this an emissions problem? A while back, a gas cap code came on and we replaced that. Then it came back on and Auto Zone said it was due to pollen and we put mid grade gas with fuel injector in it. They cleared the code and now the light is back on again and there's a gas smell. I'm afraid to drive it! Thanks for any help.

Fuel leak will cause check engine light to come on with a codes same as if gas cap was at fault
Need to check for fuel leak and repair if cannot locate the leak smoke test the system
When it’s a fuel leak it’s a safety and an emission
