Daughter's car just stopped. Engine runs. Won't move. Tower said it's broken axle. Towed to dealer. What can I expect to be cost?

When you say dealer I hope you mean the independent garage at the corner. You can expect to pay about 180 if its the drivers side and 250 if its passengers side. Who knows what the dealershipo will charge.

Nope, it was towed to nearest Toyota dealer through GEICO. I recommended to my daughter it be towed to independent Toyota specialistm, but that was 30 miles away and would have cost towing charge for long distance. Any advice you can give me when "negotiating" with a dealer on such a repair would be greatly appreciated.
