This car starts decent cold, but when warm you have to crank it a while but it always starts, I have a pressure gauge hooked up at the tank when running the pressure is 40 lbs turn it off and it immediately drops to 33 lbs then in about 3 minutes will slowly drop to 20 lbs then losses a 1 lbs a minute til there is no pressure reading. At 20 lbs it will still start right up but below that you have to crank it awhile. I have replaced the fuel filter, an ebay tank and pump unit, cleaned the mass air flow sensor and the throttle body including the opening to the throttle positioner and removed and cleaned the throttle positioner, Cleaned all the connectors and ran 2 tanks with high quality fuel injector cleaner. Any suggestions or things to test before I throw more parts at it that unfornately change nothing?

Test the coolant temperature sensor-That's okay-recheck the fuel pressure-hook the gauge up and start the car observe the reading-now find the pressure regulator remove the vacuum line and plug it-make sure the vacuum line has vacuum-if not investigate the pressure should increase about 8-10psi-if not replace the regulator. Also do this pinch off the return line the pressure should almost double-if not the pump is weak

Already replaced ETC sensor, fuel pump doubles pressure when I pinch the return line, removed vacuum line from regulator it has vacuum, but the regulator is bubbling out fuel from the vacuum nozzle that should be the pressure leak don't you think?
