1996 Toyota Camry Recommeded transmission service option

I would like to know which is better, draining the transmissoin fluid or taking it to a mechanic and flushing the fluid using their transmission flush machine?

If it was me I'll go ahead and change the fluid/filter-I don't approve of maching flushing it might dislodge a debris and get stuck somewhere within the critcal parts of the valve body creating more problems.
