For the last few weeks the car will start in te morning and occasionally have a rough idle, it will stall at stop signs or just lose power when slowing down for a turn then stall. Sometimes will immediately restart, sometimes it has to wait 5 inutes to restart. Occasionally smell gas and has backfired. Recent repairs include timing belt chang, plugs, wires cap and rtor and the fuel filter. Could thid be a feul pump or fuel pressure regulator. I know where the fuel pump is butwhere is the regulator?

Hi medic610,

The fuel regulator is attached to the fuel rails, the tube holding the injectors.

If the problem starts after timing belt replacement, check the ignition timing, if they are too advanced or retarded, then the belts have been wrongly installed.
