Suspension problem
1995 Toyota Camry 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 120K miles

I'm starting to wonder if I have a lemon or if my mechanic is falling down on the job. I drive like "an old lady,"and work to take care of this car. In 2005 had 2 mounts replaced, 1 in 2007. This time I had 3 done, failed inspection again and went back to be told the rear (tranny) mount is also bad-- what's that about? Also, now the mech is telling me I need an axle and wheelbearing to the tune of about 480 for both?...is this in line? could there be some problem with the car that makes these wierd things break down. I believe I already replaced wheel bearing a couple years ago.

Well, your car is about 15 years old. Nothing last forever. BUT, that doesn't mean that stuff is going bad with it. I would probably take it to another shop for another opinion. Why did the mechanic tell you the bearing and axle was bad? Usually there is a noise or play for the wheel bearing and for the axle usually a noise.
