i have a 1995 toyta camry autmatic, with 204,000 miles my car wont start, i can hear the starter engaging, and it is making the noise like it wants to start, i just had the seal replaced, because she was leaking oil, and the timing belt. i picked it up and it ran fine, later that afternoon it died and i could not get it started, so they towed it in to the shop, replaced the distributor, and rotor, she was fine that day, then the next morning i could not get it started. What is the problem, could it be the fuel filter??

Hi there,

You will have to check basics when it wont start. Fuel pressure, injection pulse, spark. If there is a problem then you can access the fault codes at the diagnostic link, If a fault code has been detected it will be held in the memory for retrieval. Your mechanic should do this methodically and not just toss parts at it to see if it will go. IF it is kicking on the starter but not taking up, fair chance is the fuel pump is not working, The electrical system for these fuel pumps are a bit tricky, so make sure that your mechanic understands the system first.
