I have replaced batteries 4 times in a year, I am not sure if I am using the batteries ment for it( I bought from costco and the book says group 35 fitmen # 3. The first time the mechanics said teh battery was od and had to be replaces, the second time. The battery was draining again and said the alternator has to be replaced and also the battery and than I also replaced te radiator and also the battery. Now again the battery is drained it only 1 month old, whenI showed it to mechanic another person, he says there is no problem but the battey is bad and had to be replaced this is the 4th time, how can 4 batteries be bad and how come so many mechanics not able to trace out why my battery is getting drain.I really need help. Pl let me know ?

Get an analog voltmeter remove the negative battery cable, attach the red lead to the battery post, black lead to cable end, then pull fuses one at a time, make sure there are no accessories or lights in the on position, Key off! Close the door after each fuse and check meter, when you pull the fuse for the bad curcuit, the meter will drop to 1 volt or so. Check all fuses, even under the hood. If meter does not drop, remove the battery connection from the alternator, if it drops now, the diodes are bad in the alternator. Put the fuse back in were it goes as you go so you don't forget which fuse goes were!
