my car dies in every gear except park and reverse. It started after I once jump my battery and It made a loud noise like a backfire only the noise came from under the hood. Any ideal whats wrong?

Do you have a check engine light On and When was the last tune-up?

Check the fuel pressure and comeback with the readings we start here-also check these sensors Coolant/throttle and vehicle speed
