1988 Toyota Camry starter problem

I need some advice about a starter problem.
Sometimes it starts no problem but most times it just the ignition just clicks and does nothing. It sounds like a stater issue and if so where is it located so I can get a rebuilt one and install it myself if it isn't to difficult to replace.
