I have what appears to be a thermal vacuum valve and was wondering what the difference is between it and a bi-metal vacuum swithching valve. My Motor is a 3S-FE engine

Its the same thing once heated it transfers vacuum or shuts it off can be 2-3 ports on it

Bi-metal is made up of metals with different heat expansion rates, Temperature changes produce a bending or distortion of the element


TVSV is a temperature sensing device extending into the coolant that connects full vacuum to such areas like distributor vacuum advance
