Hi, after I changed my plugs, oil filter, oil and air filter, I started my car to back it off the stands to find that it would not idle, it was not missing, just wouldnt idle. If I rev the motor up it will run fine. I took the new plugs out and they were all extremely fouled (the old ones appeared to be somewhat on the lean condition). I am out of my realm with the Electronic Fuel Injection and I do not know where to look to solve the problem of not idling and running rich. I adjusted the throttle cable to open the linkage up so that the car would stay running for me to mess with some stuff. There are no loose connections of electrical or vaccum that i could see/hear. It is just weird because the car ran fine prior to the oil, oil filter, air filter and spark plug change. Could this possibly be an IAC valve? thanks for your help!

Hi dpmcinti,

Thank you for the donation.

For your model, there is no IAC. The system used is air flow meter. Any vacumn leakages between the AF meter and the throttle body would cause the engine to stall.

Check if any of the vacumn hoses are disconnected or the air intake is torn. The air intake hoses tends to harden over time and while replacing the air cleaner, removal and installation could have cause somethig to give way.
