Toyota Avalon Repair Question

Steering worries
I have a 1998 Toyota Avalon XL, with 114,000 highway miles. The car clunks when I accelerate from coasting(thought it was a tranny prob at first) and now when I turn, there is a definite clunk by my left foot on the other side of the firewall (though I don't really feel it in the steering wheel). CV joint/axle prob or steering knuckle maybe? Seems like a big job to do in the driveway.

Not to say its not a cv joint, but if the inner and outer boots are not torn, I have never seen a camry or avalon cvj's go out with that low of mileage (plus no accident damage). Maybe iits a lower BJ.
