Engine Mechanical problem
2006 Toyota Avalon 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 21000 miles

Hello,

Went to Valvoline Oil Center and had the engine oil and filter changed, They noticed that there wasn't an in line canister filter to be removed. The Toyota dealership failed to install a filter last time I was in there for service. Good heavens....

Question, any damage from running a young engine with 18,000 to 21,000 (3,000 miles) without a oil filter. Everything seems to be running okay.
