Hi there,

Give the pump and the steering rack a good wash down an re inspect for leaks after a short drive. Pump may be leaking or it could be the oil lines or the rack. Best to make sure where the leaks is first, then I can advise best options.

I did as you requested and the leak is coming from the pump. I have begun to remove it and my local napa dealer has a replacement pump.
In the removal process I have everything loose but the line that goes to the rack. There is a large 22mm bolt that holds that line onto the pump and I can't seem to break it loose, I am assuming it comes out ccw, is that correct. I don't want to apply too much force for fear of making thing worse. I'm I loosing it in the correct way or does it back out opposite of what is normal.

Thanks, jim
