Battery light and ABS light is on

In advanced, I would like to thank you experts out their helping people like me. I have a couple of problems and I have no knowledge in cars, I hope you guys could help me out

car: 1998 toyota 4runner 80,000 miles v6 engine

problem: 1. The light that looks like a battery is on
2. The abs light is on
3. The car is making some kind of squeeking
squeeking noise

I know I should bring it to the mechanics but I just want a few information on what the problems is and if you guys help I dont have to bring it to the mechanics.

Battery light On means the alternator is not reconditioning the battery or the battery is not taking the charge. Could be both at the same time or a wiring problem with the charging system.

You need to get the alternator and battery load tested to find what's causing the Batt. Light to come
On.
