The level of coolant in the reservoir slowly falls and needs to be filled about every 6 months. I have looked for leaks in the system and can find none. This is the second 1998 4-Runner I have owned; the first one did the same thing. Is this normal for this vehicle? What else should I check? Thank you for your help.

I have seen alot of theose V-6's leak a tiny amount out of thewater pump area, but not enough to leave any puddles or signs of leakage. The timing belt and engine heat dissipate it before it can leak out. If it is just a smallamount every 6 months, Im not too sure Iwould worry about it until it becomes more of an issue, then it will be worth taking it apart to see. You should be due for your second timing belt/water pump real soon anyway at that mileage
