We had the cluch fan and bearing replaced on my sons 94 toyota 4 runner a couple months back and within 50 miles of driving my a/c compressor bearing went out and within 100 miles the water pump went out. The belt tensions seamed to be set at the proper tightness. Is it possible the pulleys were not put on properly or are there other possible reasons for this to occur.

Hi there,

If the pulleys were the problem you would have an issue on start up, I feel that the pump and A/C were well on there way out and with the new belt and just a little extra belt pressure, that was enough to see them fail, this is not all that uncommon to see.
