I can't get my 4Runner to start. I have replaced the battery and terminals. Nothing happened. I also replaced some burnt out fuses. Now I get the headlights and interoir lights on. It also makes a clicking noise when I turn the key from ACC to ON. Don't know where it's coming from? Is this something that it keeping it from starting? Any ideas on what this could be? Please help! Thanks

Hi there,

This could be the starter solenoid engaging, when the internal contacts wear, the solenoid will engage but current wont flow through the contact to energize the starter, I would have the started checked ok first.

Was the starter and starter solenoid checked?
You have ignition switch, wires, neutral safety switch, wires, and starter and starter solenoid
check for power and ground at the starter and check for power at the small S wire and terminals at the starter when ignition in start position if all OK assume starter bad

When you turn key to run do you see all the idiot lights that normally comes on. If so could be an open circuit on the starting system such as the starter, starter relay, park and neutral switch and ignition switch
