I just bought this vehicle and I took it for a long drive and when I got back my tire was real hot and I do not know the problem.

If it is the rubber tire, insure the air pressure is correct.

If only one tire (not rim or hub) is hot, check the air pressure as CJ MEDEVAC says.
Also check that the exhaust is not exiting on the tire (if it is a rear tire).

Another item that will cause one corner to get hot is dragging brakes, either a bad or sticking parking brake or bad shoes/pads caliper or line. Jack up the offending end and see if both tires rotate with the same amount of force, check to be sure the parking brake is fully released. If it's a front tire, check that the brake caliper is free to move, sticking pins and pistons are common brake issues.
