Timing?

I got into my Kia and drove off. About a few miles I noticed some slight ticking then some sluggish behavior. I then stopped and checked the oil which was a quart low and added. I continued to drive then heard a deeper low end knocked then my oil light came on along with engine light. Got P0026 and P0018 codes. Drove a little bit then it died on me. Try to start again but only tunrns over and backfires.
