The engine starts then shuts off immediately?

I have changed the fuel pump, all the hoses inside the gas tank and the fuel filter, and my engine starts and shuts off immediately. It was doing that before I did this work, and it does it now. Can you help me?

Hi,

Have you checked for diagnostic trouble codes? I ask because this can be caused by a few different things.

The first thing that comes to mind is the ignition ballast resistor. Does the engine stall as soon as you release the ignition key from start to run?

Let me know that. Also, check to see if there are any diagnostic trouble codes stored.

Also, I attached a pic below showing the location of the ballast resistor. You may want to consider replacing this if it stalls the way I described.

Let me know what you find as far as codes and if the ballast makes a difference.
