Thermostat replacement

In addition to thermostat replacement, I also will be replacing the coolant part it mounts to. My question is: since there are other items close to the area, some wiring, hoses, etc, is it best to disconnect the battery first, and, when finished and battery re-attached will anything need to be re-programmed?

Hello,

Yes it is best to disconnect the battery and there should not be any reprogramming necessary.
