depends on county and state.
In calif. it is illegal to have auto stores to plug in scan tool. ( amazing huh>)
yes, go to any auto store. and say.
Mister can you please scan my car.
out comes OBD2 scan tool , he plugs it in.
and out comes code.
we look up code in 15sec and bingo.
tighten gas cap.
