How do I fix this? Is it ok to drive the car, I had to drive about 70 miles to get home, it seemed fine.

My cars check engine light came on, and my cruise control button on the left side of the dash is blinking amber.
How do I fix this? Is it ok to drive the car, I had to drive about 70 miles to get home, it seemed fine.
